Land of Contrast

The 21st century is starkly visible along the skyline of Port Moresby while amongst its population there is a distinct contrast. PNG has over 800, that’s right, eight hundred; indigenous languages ! PNG is a rugged island, as WW II vets can attest to as the loss of life here during that conflict was staggering. Within its remote interior there are over 800 different cultural groups that could have difficulty with communications amongst their native born countrymen. For the stout and fit the infamous Kokoda Trail is a hiking trail these days.
